The Witching Hour

When I was in high school, my dad would always justify why I had a curfew with, "Nothing good ever happens after 12 o-clock." Now, I'm not saying my dad was wrong, but now that I am grown up and married, I have come to appreciate the late hour a little bit more. You see, Gabe doesn't get off work till 12 am and with all the hussle and bussle of our daily lives, we don't get to have a lot of 'us' time. But this whole summer, we have made 12 o-clock our time. We usually take little Jim for a walk, sip on cream soda, or just sit and talk, but it's just been so nice. Even though Gabe and I live right smack dab in the middle of Downtown Boise, which I love by the way. On week nights it's a very quiet, beautiful city. Add the summer night warmth and you've got yourself a prefect evening, or more accurately, midnight. Now that school has started, and to my dismay, the weather has already started to get cooler, I'm going to really miss our midnight walks and talks over yummy beverages. But one thing I can tell you that these nights have reassured me of..guys, I have a pretty awesome, determined, and loving husband.
