Since Anniston is almost two, Gabe and I decided to do a real
Easter egg hunt for her on the Saturday before Easter! We invited her besty,
Logan, his parentals, and my family, to join in. The kids had a great time and
actually did pretty well finding the eggs on their own, only needing minimal
help from us. Anniston seemed to enjoy the actual hunt more than the
rewards inside the eggs. She kept asking us to hide the eggs so she could
go find them again. The weather that day was absolutely perfect! We pretty much
spent the entire day just hanging out in my parents front yard. Pretty
successful to say the least. Something important to note is that Anniston likes
to refer to the Easter bunny as the Santa bunny. I mean, it kind of makes
since I guess. Ha. She also likes to refer to the Monopoly guy as Santa. The
only thing that could have made our little family Easter egg hunt better would
have been more family! It would've been nice to have more of the extended
family there, but for many of them, it's quite a drive. Living in different
states is a real bummer, especially during holidays. I hope everyone who
celebrates Easter enjoyed their Easter weekend and took time to remember Our
Savior, Jesus Christ, and His atoning sacrifice and resurrection.
“So today we celebrate the gift of victory over every fall we have
ever experienced, every sorrow we have ever known, every discouragement we have
ever had, every fear we have ever faced..."
